Boston Police Headquarters is hit by gunfire. At 11:30 p.m., gunshots are fired in the Whittier Street housing development at a man fleeing across Tremont Street and into the lobby of Boston Police Department Headquarters. According to a police spokeswoman, the building is hit by what she calls “collateral ballistic damage.”
